Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
Day 1 THURSDAY: MADRID / TEL AVIV / NAZARETH
Presentation at the airport of origin 3h. before, to take the flight to Tel Aviv. Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Nazareth. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 2 FRIDAY: NAZARETH / CANA / MOUNT TABOR / NAZARETH
Breakfast. In the morning we will travel to Cana de Galilee to visit the Church where the first miracle of Jesus "the conversion of water into new wine" is commemorated, we will celebrate the Eucharist and renew our marriage promises. Then we will move to Mount Tabor, the place of the Transfiguration of the Lord. We will ascend to the summit from where we can enjoy beautiful views of the entire Galilee and the Valley of Armageddon. We will return to Nazareth for lunch. In the afternoon we will walk through this beautiful town to see the places most frequented by the Sagrada Familia: the fountain of Mary, the Basilica of the Annunciation, the ruins of the old town and the carpentry of San José. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3 SATURDAY: NAZARETH / SEA OF GALILEE / NAZARETH
Breakfast. Our pilgrimage will take us to know the region of Galilee, where practically the entire public life of Jesus took place. We will begin at Tabga, the place of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Next we will know the primacy of Peter, where Jesus confirms Peter as the stone where he will build his Church. Possibility to celebrate the Holy Mass. Then we will go to Capernaum, the city where Jesus performed some of the miracles during his life and where the house of Peter and the Synagogue are located. After the visit we will take a boat that will take us on a short journey in the Sea of Galilee and where we will have the opportunity to do a small celebration of the word while we navigate through the waters of miraculous fishing or where Jesus walked. Lunch. In the afternoon we will go to the Mount of Beatitudes and the ruins of the city of Magdala, recently inaugurated. These ruins are the town of Santa María Magdalena, and it is believed that Jesus could also pass through this place. Return to Nazareth. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 4 SUNDAY: NAZARETH / JUDEAN DESERT / BAPTISM IN THE JORDAN / JERICHO / DEAD SEA / BETHLEHEM
Breakfast. Following the course of the Jordan River we will arrive at Jericho to enjoy wonderful views of the Mount of Temptations, where Jesus was tempted by Satan. We will continue our journey to the same bank of the Jordan, to a place called Qasr el Yahud, where experts have pointed out as the place where the baptism of the Lord took place and where the Jordan River divides the state of Israel and Jordan, here we will be able to renew our baptismal promises. We will arrive at the Dead Sea where we will be able to enjoy the unique experience of bathing in its waters, then we will continue our way with a stop to have a beautiful panoramic view of the Monastery of San Jorge Koziba. Lunch. Departure to Ain Karem, place of Mary's Visitation to her cousin Saint Elizabeth and place where Saint John the Baptist was born. Celebration of the Mass. Visit of the Church of Sant Juan Bautista and the Church of Zacarías. Continuation to Bethlehem. Arrival, dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5 MONDAY: BETHLEHEM
Breakfast. Visit of the Basilica of the Nativity, Grotto where the Child Jesus was born, Grotto of Saint Jerome and Saint Joseph. Holy Mass, the Field and the Shepherds' Grotto, the place where the angel appeared to them announcing the Good News. Church of Saint Catherine. Lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the natural grottoes and the remains of the Byzantine Monasteries, the Angel Chapel and the Palestinian Christian cooperative. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight. After dinner, we will go to the Shepherds' Field to celebrate the Holy Hour.
DAY 6TH TUESDAY: BETHLEHEM / JERUSALEM
Breakfast. Departure to Gethsemane to celebrate Mass in the Basilica of the Agony or All Nations. Next, we will climb Mount Scopus to begin our descent along the path that takes place on Palm Sunday. We will visit the Mountain of Olives, the place of the Lord's Ascension to Heaven, and the Grotto of the Lord's Prayer, where Jesus taught us to pray this beautiful prayer. Then we will go down to Dominus Flevit, the place where Jesus cried and from where we will get a beautiful view of the city of Jerusalem. We will also visit the Garden of the Garden of Olives in Gethsemane before lunch. In the afternoon we will tour the Jewish Quarter, visit the Cardo Maximus, the Jerusalem Synagogue and the Wailing Wall. We will continue to Mount Zion and visit San Pedro in Gallicantu, the place where Peter denied Jesus 3 times and the rooster crowed, the Cenacle where Jesus instituted the Eucharist and after his Resurrection, sent us the Holy Spirit, and the Abbey of the Dormition. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 7 WEDNESDAY: JERUSALEM OLD CITY
Breakfast. Early in the morning we will go to the old city of Jerusalem. We will begin our Via Crucis that runs through the Via Dolorosa, contemplating the mysteries on the way to Calvary. We will reach the top of Mount Golgotha, inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and after adoring the cross we will descend towards the stone of Anointing and access the interior of the Holy Sepulchre, where we will verify that Christ has truly risen! Lunch. In the afternoon we will continue the visits of Jerusalem; we will visit the Western Wall, better known as the Wailing Wall, next to the esplanade of the Mosques; the Church of Santa Ana and the Probática or Betesda Pool, a place where the sick waited for the angel to remove the waters to be healed. Then we will go to the souk area of the city where we will have free time to shop, walk or enjoy the Holy City of Jerusalem on our own. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 8TH THURSDAY: JERUSALEM / JOPPE / TEL AVIV / MADRID
Breakfast. Departure to Joppe, the old Yaffo, where the house of Simon the tanner is located and we will visit the Church of San Pedro. After strolling through the picturesque fishing village, we will transfer to the Tel Aviv airport to take the flight to our city of origin. Arrival and end of our services.
